The Washington Bureau for ISP Advocacy is officially hosting the online headquarters for the Virtual Gigabyte March on Washington, D.C. This grassroots movement serves to build a groundswell of business and consumer voices expressing their views and demanding that the FCC first consider the consequences of removing the first tier of our nations Internet infrastructure.
Please join us NOW to voice your concerns and participate in this important, ongoing march. We ask that you as well as every association or business join us in sending a message that eradicating competition within the Internet provider industry will ultimately threaten our security and derail our nations economic recovery.
Your messages will be posted on our site, so please show your support by filling out our online form! If you are not sure that you are ready to join the March, you can learn more about the importance of sustaining our current system on our 10 Reasons to Join the Gigabyte March page.
With our collective voice, we will be sending a clear message: We value choice and don't want our right to choose our on-ramp to the Information Super Highway taken away. Together, we can create a powerful reminder of the breadth and depth of our opposition to removing the first layer of telecommunications. Media can visit the "Media March room" online to monitor this constituent march throughout the months.
We need your help NOW to make this Virtual March a reality. You can (1) easily send a response directly to the FCC on their Electronic Comment Filing System - ECFS or through the Comptel/ASCENT Take Action page for transmission, and (2) send faxes or make phone calls to Congress. Faxes are very easy and phone calls are the most effective. Do both or do whatever you can.
When using the ECFS, type in the docket number you are commenting on, under "Proceeding". Current proceedings of importance are listed on the left of this page. You can also contact the organization you are supporting with your comment for further information.
If you wish to make calls or send faxes to your Senate or congressional offices, locally or in Washington, D.C. and are not sure how to reach them, you can easily find all the information you need on Congress Merge.
